We are thrilled to have unveiled our new look specialist dementia care home in Bridgend, Morgana Lodge. Located next door to our 45 room Morgana Court care home in South Connelly, the new Lodge provides 18 specially designed en suite rooms.
With a mix of modern and period décor the Lodge is designed with features specifically for people with
dementia. These include a bar, coffee shop and even a train carriage, installed by RemPods, to bring a sense of familiarity to the home.
Dr Bikram Choudhary, our Director at SilverCrest which operates homes from Pontypridd to the Swansea Valley, said: “We are proud to be able to invest in much needed increased residential care for people with dementia in Wales.
Our modern facilities are designed for comfort and welcoming familiarity, which are essential to meet the rise of dementia and its pressures on healthcare services. Morgana Lodge will bring new levels of support and comfort to residents and their families battling with dementia.”
The home already has 9 new residents who are loving the new surroundings and we look forward to welcoming more residents very soon to their new home.
