Well-being and life at Tŷ Nant
Familiar surroundings and a real sense of safety and security is paramount for people with dementia, and Tŷ Nant is a community in itself. It features residents shop with post office, a hairdressing salon, own kitchen, snacking stations and a coffee shop and even its own fashionable bar.
The residents’ well-being is our priority so they can continue to enjoy their hobbies and interests with us, whether it’s cooking, gardening, exercise, spending time in the pub, playing games, building items for the garden. or taking day trips, we will help to engage them in any way we can. We have a carefully structured weekly planner which is designed with residents’ interests in mind.
Inclusion and being heard is of the utmost importance, so residents are invited to monthly meetings where they have their say about everything which makes them happier in their own home. This further enables our team to adopt a person-centred approach to ensure residents live a healthy lifestyle which we believe enhances their mood, morale, independence, memory and sleep.
At Ty Nant, we aim to enrich residents’ lives beyond their expectations and allow them to live with purpose and fulfilment with our range of focused initiatives and new experiences.
