Experienced Nurse Appointed Head of our Rhondda Care Home
We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of our new manager at Mill View Care Home, in Ystrad, Pentre, Kevin Michael, a nurse, with over 15 years experience in the hospital and care home profession.
Having registered as a nurse in 2002 Kevin Michael worked in accident and emergency departments across South Wales. Over the last decade he has brought his clinical expertise into the care sector and latterly in the field of care home management.
Announcing the appointment Bikram Choudhary our director Silvercrest Care Homes, said:
“Kevin is a very experienced nurse, carer and manager who is a perfect fit for the team. He brings a wealth of knowledge from the healthcare sector to his new role. Kevin is a fantastic asset and I know Mill View will flourish under his leadership.”
Mill View is home to 40 residents and as well as 24 hour care, provides residents with a range of activities including singing, cooking and gardening and has its own on-site hairdressers.
Commenting on his appointment Kevin Michael, said: “I was really attracted to the sense that Mill View is one big family and this extends to the staff, residents and their families. This inclusiveness at the heart of the Silvercrest philosophy is very important for the professional care of our residents and I am proud to be part of it.”
