On Tuesday 5th June renowned chef Anand George and great friend of SilverCrest, will be bringing his pop-up restaurant to our Mill View care home in Ystrad, Pentre which means residents from both Mill View and our Tŷ Nant home can enjoy this exciting Indian culinary experience.
Not only do we love Anand’s award-winning cuisine which has featured at a number of SilverCrest dinners over the years, these occasions present a great opportunity for families to dine with their loved ones, bringing a restaurant to the care home.
Guests and residents can enjoy some poppadoms with home-made chutneys followed by a main course of a curry, dahl (lentils), vegetable dish, rice and a chapati.
The famous founder of Purple Poppadom restaurant in Cardiff and the Tukka Tuk mobile street food kitchen is very popular at our homes as he ensures his food is tailored to the tastes of our residents, where taste and flavour are paramount, so no need to worry about heat!
We invite family members and friends of our residents from Mill View and Tŷ Nant to book early to avoid disappointment. The price per person is £10 which will be donated directly to the residents fund.
