At the heart of SilverCrest is Bikram, a dedicated healthcare professional and General Practitioner in South Wales. Bikram’s journey in senior care began when he assumed the role of director at Mill View Care Home in Ystrad, Rhondda Cynon Taff in 1992.
Bikram had a vision of progression, and in 1998, he became a pivotal founding shareholder in a care home group that managed and nurtured 22 care homes spanning Wales and England. Building on this wealth of experience, Bikram embarked on a new chapter in 2014 by founding the SilverCrest Care Group.
Under his strong leadership, SilverCrest Care Group has flourished to encompass a collection of five distinguished care homes strategically located across South Wales. Notably, the fifth establishment stands as a testament to Bikram’s unwavering dedication – a bespoke dementia care facility nestled in Williamstown, meticulously designed to provide the utmost comfort and support.
With a proven track record in adeptly managing complex organizational structures, overseeing seamless administration, nurturing a thriving HR environment, and fostering unparalleled customer service, Bikram stands as the driving force behind our commitment to excellence.
Rhiannon Ward

Rhiannon became a valuable member of the SilverCrest Group in 2016, initially joining as the Finance Manager. Drawing from her extensive background in the realm of finance, she embraced the unique challenges posed by the care home industry.
While her prior exposure to care home operations was limited, Rhiannon’s commitment and dedication have propelled her into a position of great understanding regarding the intricacies of day-to-day care home management.
Demonstrating an exceptional aptitude for interpersonal dynamics, creative problem-solving, and clear communication, Rhiannon wholeheartedly embraced the SilverCrest ethos, with seamless integration into our values and principles.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Rhiannon’s role has evolved, now encompassing both Operations Director for the Group and her ongoing responsibilities in finance. This dual capacity allows her to effectively allocate her time between overseeing the care homes, ensuring their smooth operation, and managing the financial aspects that underpin their success
SilverCrest is Growing
We currently have five care homes, in Ystradgynlais Swansea Valley, Bridgend, Ystrad Rhondda, Pontypridd, and Williamstown, Rhondda. We ensure that each home is unique, reflecting its community, and is designed for a variety of specialist care with certain homes specifically designed for dementia care.
Each of our homes have forged great relationships in the community so residents are able to participate in local events, attend church groups, visit schools as well as fundraising for local charities close to our heart.
We pride ourselves on treating every resident as an individual which means we have a person centred approach to all we do. We offer a range of activities to appeal to all tastes from cooking and baking days and gardening clubs, to singing and music workshops, book clubs, and craft fairs. As well as providing the opportunity to try new things, we aim to encourage hobbies and interests residents may already have. We strongly believe that his model enhances their mood, morale, independence, memory and sleep.
